How To Reserve FastPasses
With Disney FastPass+ Service, you can reserve an hour-long window to visit select attractions, entertainment experiences and Character meet and greets with either no line or very short lines. You can make FastPass+ reservations, up to 60 days in advance as a resort guest, or 30 days in advance otherwise. You reserve these using your My Disney Experience account.
Build your MousePlan. Once you know where you will be each day, taking magic hours, park hours, crowd levels, and your own preferences into consideration, you’ll know when and where to reserve FastPasses.
Make a wish list of park experiences. Prioritize the attractions that have the longest wait times. Some are perpetually 45-minutes and up (with a few that have had wait times as high as 3 hours). Those should be at the top of your wish list.
Exactly 60 days before your check in date (or 30 days if not staying at a Disney resort), hop on the Disney website and sign in to your My Disney Experience account (as early as 7am EST) to begin making reservations.
Popular experiences fill up within minutes, so if you want to ride Avatar–Flight of Passage (and you really, really do) then be logged in to your My Disney Experience account by exactly 7am EST to get those reserved!
Reserving as a group? You can link your Disney account with friends and family and each person is able to make reservations for anyone connected to their account. You’ll be asked who you’d like to make FastPasses for and given the option to select from your list of friends and family.
Scan your MagicBand or your park ticket at the FastPass entrance at any point in your 1-hour reservation window. Once all your FastPasses are either used or expired, you may continue booking one at a time. Don’t count on a great selection on the day of, but you can usually avoid lines at less popular rides.
Making Changes? Be sure and use the My Disney Experience mobile app, or visit the kiosks if you need to make any changes. FastPasses do “sell out” so the selection will diminish as time goes on. Using the refresh button on your webpage or app can be effective with the right mix of patience and luck. Availability changes every minute. And miracles can happen…

Often you may enter 10 minutes before and after your scheduled window.
If a dining reservation has thrown you off track and you missed a FastPass reservation — you can simply enjoy the rest of your meal and show your receipt to the ride attendant, who will let you through even after your window has expired.
