Free dining at Disney World is one of the resort’s most popular discounts and will sell out QUICKLY! But beware — this popular promotion always crashes Disney servers for the first few days after it’s announced.

That means employing plenty of patience or calling a Disney travel specialist if you want to take advantage of this offer. (Why do I need a Disney Travel Specialist?)

Depending on where you book, you’ll receive a free Standard Dining Plan (for bookings at Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts) or a Quick Service Dining Plan (for bookings at Value or Moderate Resort).

And of course, Disney Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members should check out the room-only discounts!

Surprisingly, these discounts coincide with some of the most popular travel times to Disney World and the newly opened Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

This means you can use your free dining credits at the two seasonal food events the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival (Aug. 29 – Nov. 23, 2019) and Epcot International Festival of the Holidays (Nov. 29 – Dec. 30, 2019).

How to Get a Free Dining Plan

• Book before September 29, 2019
• Arrive between these dates:
  • Sept. 1 – 18, 2019
  • Nov. 17 – 27, 2019
  • Dec. 8 – 23, 2019
• Purchase a non-discounted 5-night or 6-Day Walt Disney Travel Company package, that includes a room at a select Disney Resort hotel and park tickets with a Park Hopper Option.
• Note: The following room types are excluded from this year’s free dining:
  Campsites, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, 3-bedroom Grand Villas, and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – The Little Mermaid standard rooms.
